GCC YDA Conducts Circuit Racing Training Today in Bahrain

The circuit racing training element of 2017 GCC Young Driver Academy’s program will be concluded in Bahrain today, before the contestants travel to United Arab Emirates to focus on rally training.

This is a very demanding day for the twelve young drivers from six GCC countries, trying to get good scores during track sessions at BIC and bring the victory to their home countries.

Promising young drivers Saeed Al Ali and Amna Al Qubaisi are representing the UAE in the 1st GCC Young Drivers Academy. The winner will be selected on May 2nd in Dubai.

“Our aim is to introduce these promising young drivers to both racing and rallying. We are fortunate to have best desert terrain and 2 Formula 1 circuits in our region, and the Academy creates a path to young talent in both racing and rallying” said Mohammed Ben Sulayem, ATCUAE and EMSF President.

This regional motorsport development project is founded and managed by three FIA appointed global training providers: BMF, QMMf and ATCUAE, and is supported by the FIA.
