ATCUAE Supports RTA in Fully Electronic Approval of Tourism Certificates

In an effort to reduce paper waste and support the UAE government authorities in becoming more sustainable, the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) is now supporting the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in the fully electronic approval process for Tourism Certificates.

Previously, in order to issue a Tourism Certificate, the ATCUAE issued a written Non-Objection Certificate (NOC) along with the official vehicle trip ticket (CPD). These documents are then taken to the RTA who issues a Tourism Certificate for vehicles taken outside of the country for tourism purposes.

Now that the approval process is completely electronic beginning 1 October, there is no more paper NOC issued. The ATCUAE thoroughly supports the RTA in this initiative towards sustainability by communicating electronically in the approval process. Not only is this a step towards sustainability, it also demonstrates the greater use of modern technology and communication in this effort.
