DESERT CHALLENGE SET FOR FLYING START IN ABU DHABI

Super special stage lines up spectacular action at Al Forsan International Sports Resort

Spectators can look forward to a spectacular flying start to the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge POWERED BY Nissan in the UAE capital tomorrow (Saturday).

Action in the six-day event gets under way with the super special spectator stage starting at 3pm at Al Forsan International Sports Resort, one of the rally’s strategic partners.

Head-to-head, bikes and quads followed by the cars and buggies will tackle the twisting 2km track which features a bridge and underpass that allows two vehicles to race safely and spectacularly.

Admission is free for the public as the UAE’s Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi, Qatar’s Nasser Al Attiyah and Saudi Arabia’s Yazeed Al Rajhi go into action, each looking to become the first Arab winners of the cars title for eight years.

Emirati Mohammed Al Balooshi is among the top-seeded riders in the 26th edition of the Desert Challenge, which is guaranteed to produce a first-time bikes champion.
