Evolution of TIR Systems in the UAE

2007

United Arab Emirates joined the TIR Convention and became a contracting party to the TIR system.

2012

Automobile & Touring Club in the U.A.E became an active member in the International Road Union “IRU”

2013

ATCUAE is recognized to be the sole entity to facilitate the implementation of TIR system acting as a guarantor and issuer in the United Arab Emirates.<br><br> ATCUAE also conducted several general and technical workshops to raise awareness on importance of the implementation of the TIR system in the UAE

2014

Automobile & Touring Club of the U.A.E (ATCUAE) received IRU Academy CPC Manager “Certificate of Professional Competence” Programme accreditation that enabled ATCUAE to deliver the CPC Manager Programme to road transport professionals in the UAE.

2014/2015

Customs authorities in all of the seven Emirates officially singed the guarantee agreements, joined forces with the ATCUAE, marking a milestone in the development of the implementation of theTIR system in UAE.
